The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences kicked off a week of performance highlights yesterday by showcasing what material the nominees in each category submitted in order to entice voters for “The 47th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” scheduled to air live on Friday, June 26 at 8/7c on CBS.

In the first performance highlights video, we get to see what each daytime drama series submitted for their Outstanding Daytime Drama Series nomination. Nominated this year are “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless.”

Below is a breakdown of what each show submitted along with the performance highlights video released by NATAS.

“The Bold and the Beautiful”

  • Hope (Annika Noelle) is in labor and Liam (Scott Clifton) is trying to move heaven and earth to get to her. Meanwhile, Reese (Wayne Brady) assures Hope that he is a licensed obstetrician and is more than capable of delivering hers and Liam’s baby. The episode aired in January 2019.

“Days of our Lives”

  • Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) is in the hospital and suddenly wakes up with an excited Jack (Matthew Ashford) by her side. She learns that she had fallen, went into a coma, and woke up to find out things have changed in the year since she last saw her family. The episode aired on November 8, 2019.

“General Hospital”

  • Michael Easton is Ebenezer Scrooge in the special “Christmas Carol” themed episode of the soap. The episode aired on December 23, 2019.

“The Young and the Restless”

  • Jack and Ashley Abbott (Peter Bergman and Eileen Davidson) remember their friend, Neil (the late Kristoff St. John) in an episode tied to the town learning of the character’s sudden death. The episode aired in April 2019.
