No one can deny the rapid growth for ABC’s “The View” this season, particularly when compared to broadcast competitor “The Talk” on CBS. But no one expected the series to stack as well as it has against the heavy weights of syndicated talk when you consider the limitations of where and when a broadcast show airs across the country.
According to the Most Current season-to-date ratings (09/24/2018 – 12/02/2018), “The View” ranks fourth out of 22 programs in Total Viewers among all network and syndicated daytime talk and news programs. The talk show is averaging 2.868 million viewers this season, behind only “Dr. Phil” (4.240 million), “Ellen” (3.086 million) and “Live with Kelly and Ryan” (2.891 million).
For the week of November 26-30, 2018, “The View” averaged 2.769 million Total Viewers, 416,000 Women 25-54 and 297,000 Women 18-49, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research.
“The View” co-host panel is led by moderator Whoopi Goldberg with Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Meghan McCain and Abby Huntsman.
