Mark Steines Out as ‘Home & Family’ Co-Host

Mark Steines is out as co-host of Hallmark Channel's "Home & Family." He had been a part of the show since it launched in 2012.

Fans who tuned in for today’s edition of Hallmark Channel’s daily chatfest “Home & Family” were probably shocked to find that Mark Steines is out as co-host of the talk show.

In a statement issued late last night, Hallmark Channel said, “Today Hallmark Channel has parted ways with Mark Steines as the co-host of the network’s lifestyle series ‘Home &Family.’ We are extremely grateful to Mark for his incredible work and wish him all the best success in his future endeavors.”

Following the network’s statement, Steines was immediately scrubbed from the official website for the show and press notes sent out for today’s edition reflect Debbie Matenopoulos as sole host of the daytime series, which is currently in its sixth season.

Steines had been co-hosting “Home & Family” since the show launched in 2012. He was originally positioned alongside Christina Ferrare, who was let go in 2016 and immediately replaced by Matenopoulos.

Even before news of his exit was announced, Steines had been virtually silent on social media. His most recent post was on his Instagram page which included a group shot of the “Home & Family” crew as they prepared to celebrate their Memorial Day weekend. “Just a few of the things I love. Wishing you all a grateful #memorialdayweekend,” wrote Steines in his post.

Prior to co-hosting “Home & Family,” Steines had previously worked his way up from a correspondent position in 1995 to co-host of “Entertainment Tonight” in 2004. He left the series in 2012.
