In light of ABC’s decision not to move forward with an 11th season of sitcom “Roseanne,” following series star Roseanne Barr‘s racially charged tweets early this morning, daytime stars, writers and more from across the land of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital”” and “The Young and the Restless,” and more, have begun weighing in on the situation.

“This kind of hate has to stop,” wrote “GH” actress Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) in response to the news of the network canceling “Roseanne.” Wright also called Barr’s comments “senseless and sad.”

“Well, that happened,” noted Jon Lindstrom (Kevin Collins, “GH”).

“BRAVO, ABC, for canceling Roseanne Reboot!” stated veteran soap star Stephen Macht (“GH,” “One Life to Live” and “Knot’s Landing”).

“#ChanningDungey did the right thing. Now double down and place the staff and crew on other shows. @ABCNetwork,” commented “B&B” writer Michele Val Jean.

“You made the right choice,” said “GH’s” Matt Cohen (Griffin Munro). “My heart goes out to all the crew busting their ass for that show.”

In addition to ABC pulling “Roseanne” and all promotional material from its schedule and website, Viacom has announced that it will also pull classic episodes of the series from its cable networks TV Land, Paramount Network and CMT.

What follows is a mashup of comments shared on social media by daytime stars, writers and more in response to ABC’s decision to cancel “Roseanne”:

This kind of hate has to stop Thank you @ABCNetwork https://t.co/LeSsSTjEwI

Free speech and artistic expression is fine….but not at the expense of common decency.

The terrible part is all of the talented innocent people who worked on that show now suffer because of this. #notjustice

John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf and Sara Gilbert will be just fine. I do feel for the crew and less known actors, though.

Hats off, ABC
