‘The View’ Beats ‘The Talk’ in All Key Categories

In a season that finds ABC’s “The View” as the only broadcast program growing in total viewers over its year-ago performance, the daytime talk show continues to overpower CBS’ competing “The Talk” in all key categories.

For the week of July 10-14, 2017, “The View” averaged 2.609 million viewers, 429,000 Women 25-54 and 314,000 Women 18-49, based on Live + Same Day ratings data released by Nielsen Media Research. The show beat “The Talk” (2.413 million, 385,000 and 273,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+196,000), Women 25-54(+44,000) and Women 18-49 (+41,000).

“The View” was up 4% compared to its last week of originals (week of June 26-30, 2017) in Total Viewers (2.609 vs. 2.502 million).

For the season, “The View” is up 2% from the prior season in Total Viewers (2.823 million vs. 2.761 million), marking its most watched season in three years — since the 2013-14 television season.
