RATINGS: #FlirtWithDisaster Powers ‘Y&R’; ‘B&B’ Surges to Best Performance Since 2007

#FlirtWithDisaster brought in huge numbers for CBS' "The Young and the Restless," which attracted an average daily audience of 5.58 million viewers during the week of February 16-20, 2015, according to newly released Nielsen Media Research ratings data. The soap was up 7% compared to the same week last year and pulled in its highest numbers in viewers since the week of January 27-31, 2014. Meanwhile, "The Bold and the Beautiful" continues to bring in some of its best numbers in nearly a decade. The soap averaged 4.18 million viewers last week, up 10% compared to the same week last year, and its best since the week of February 12-16, 2007.

#FlirtWithDisaster brought in huge numbers for CBS’ “The Young and the Restless,” which attracted an average daily audience of 5.58 million viewers during the week of February 16-20, 2015, according to newly released Nielsen Media Research ratings data. The soap was up 7% compared to the same week last year and pulled in its highest numbers in viewers since the week of January 27-31, 2014. Meanwhile, “The Bold and the Beautiful” continues to bring in some of its best numbers in nearly a decade. In the key sales demos “Y&R” also performed its best since the week of January 27-31, 2014: up 5% in Women 25-54 (2.2/12 vs. 2.1/12), up 15% in Women 18-49 (1.5/9 vs. 1.3/9) and up 17% in Women 18-34 (0.7/5 vs. 0.6/5). “B&B” was up 13% in Women 25-54 (1.7/9 vs. 1.5/8) compared to the year ago.

Outside of daytime drama, CBS’ “Let’s Make a Deal,” “The Price is Right” and “The Talk” all performed exceptionally:

  • LET’S MAKE A DEAL 2 averaged 4.25 million viewers, its largest audience ever, and was up +13% in women 18-49 (0.9/06 from 0.8/06) from a year ago.
  • LET’S MAKE A DEAL 1 averaged 3.66 million viewers, up +14% from a year ago.
  • THE PRICE IS RIGHT 1 averaged 5.71 million viewers, up +7% from last year.
    • THE PRICE IS RIGHT 2 averaged 6.65 million viewers, a gain of +9% from the same week a year ago in both viewers and women 18-49 (1.2/08 from 1.1/07).

THE TALK

  • THE TALK averaged 3.01 million viewers, up +7% from last year and its largest weekly audience since the week ending Feb. 14, 2014.
