CBS’ Angelica McDaniel, who in her role as Senior Vice President, Daytime, CBS Entertainment, has overseen the growth in all areas of daytime programming for the network since her promotion to the position in February 2012, will add oversight of first-run programming development for CBS Television Distribution, the syndication arm of CBS Corp., the company announced today.

McDaniel, who also oversees the FCC educational/informational compliant programming block on Saturdays, “The CBS Dream Team, It’s Epic!” will be tasked with creating programming in all genres, including talk, newsmagazines, game shows and court, for the company. She will continue to report to Nina Tassler, Chairman, CBS Entertainment in relation to the network’s daytime programming and will report to both Tassler and Armando Nuñez, President and CEO of CBS Global Distribution Group, for all syndication related purposes.

Hilary Estey McLoughlin, who had overseen development for CTD in her role as creative affairs president since her appointment in October 2013, will segue in a production role with the company.

“This move will combine creative resources and increase synergies with the most successful daytime programming operation in television,” said Nuñez in a statement. “It is a structure that works creatively and financially for the Company, and most importantly, it will effectively serve our owned stations, and all of our broadcast clients across the country. We look forward to working with Angelica and her team to develop the next generation of shows for syndication.”

“Angelica is an executive force of nature who brings incredible energy to everything she touches,” Tassler said. “She has a non-stop creative mind, is never afraid to think big and she is always in tune, if not a step ahead, with the audience who watches our shows. Angelica and the entire daytime team are excited for this new opportunity.”

Prior to her role as Senior Vice President, CBS Daytime, McDaniel oversaw the launch of “The Talk,” which has seen incredible growth in viewers and the key sales demos this season. The talk show recently topped “The View” in viewers for the first time last month. Meanwhile, “The Young and the Restless,” “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Price is Right” continue to produce some of their highest ratings in as many years while “Let’s Make a Deal” continues to prove its worth.
