The newest cast members of “The Young and the Restless” Scott Elrod (Joe Clark), Justin Hartley (Adam Newman), Burgess Jenkins (Billy Abbott) and Gina Tognoni (Phyllis Summers) joined co-hosts Sheryl Underwood, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Julie Chen, along with guest co-host Pat Harvey, on today’s edition of CBS’ “The Talk” as the actors discussed some of the exciting new storylines in store for their characters and much more!

In a clip released by CBS, Sheryl Underwood, well known for her passion for daytime soaps (particularly “Y&R”), enthusiastically talked to Hartley about his character – Adam Newman – coming back from the dead beginning with the Wednesday, November 5 episode. When asked what he could share about Adam now that he’s back in Genoa City, Hartley noted, “He’s taller, I think, and I look different.” He added, “They’ve done a really great job of getting me in there, getting my story out really quickly and then sort of moving on and getting…starting wrecking all of your lives [referring to his co-stars and their characters].”

Talking about playing a comatose Phyllis, Gina Tognoni advised anyone doing scenes like that to not drink coffee. Meanwhile, Burgess was asked about how long it took before they had him taking his shirt off. For reference, it only took three days of scripts!
