Fans of “General Hospital’s” headwriter, Ron Carlivati, have something to be very happy about today: The scribe announced that he’s signed a new contract with the ABC soap opera!

“I just signed a new contract!” he wrote via his Twitter feed. “So happy to be staying with @ABCNetwork & @GeneralHospital!”

The news comes hot on the heels of yesterday’s announcement that “GH” has been renewed through the 2014-2015 season.
