(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Erica Kane is heading around the world with husband-to-be number 11 Jackson Montgomery and she's blogging her adventures on her new website, IAmErica.com, and is keeping in touch with follower's on her Twitter page as well. This marks the first time that a fictional character, played by legendary actress Susan Lucci, has embarked on a world-wind travel expedition while allowing her fans in on all her experiences outside of tuning in to her trials and tribulations on the soap "All My Children."

In her first blog post dated Thursday, July 15, Erica talks about heading out of Pine Valley with Jackson for their world adventure, while also thanking her fans for sticking by her during her time in need. Recently, she had been accused of embezzling money from her daughter Bianca Montgomery's (Bennett Lind) charity, the Miranda Center.

"Helping women in need is such an important issue to me, so the accusation that I would siphon funds from the Miranda Center – which has helped so many – was particularly painful," said Kane. "I received all of your letters and e-mails, and every single one was appreciated. I am everything I am because of you, my fans. Also, your get well cards while I recovered from my plane crash warmed my heart."

In reality, ABC and its cable counterpart SOAPnet, are keeping the characters of Erica Kane and Jackson Montgomery on the minds of their fans while their portrayers Lucci and Walt Willey are on their previously scheduled summer hiatus from "AMC." The characters are set to return to the soap in September as the town of Pine Valley gears up for hopefully the last wedding for Erica, who has previously wed the likes of Adam Chandler (David Canary) and Dimitri Marick (Michael Nader), and Jackson himself multiple times.

"All My Children" airs Weekdays on ABC. Anytime on ABC.com.
