(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Is Janet’s little girl hitting the road?

Long-running soap opera publication, Soap Opera Digest recently backed up the claims that the popular website Daytime Confidential first reported over a month ago: Chrishell Stause will most likely leave the cast of “All My Children” when her contract expires this summer. This is despite the news that the stunning 27-year old actress, who started in the role of the adult version of Amanda Dillon in May 2005, recently extended her contract. The extension to the contract is reportedly a short one.

Questioned about claims of her impending departure, Stause recently told her Twitter followers “I really wish I could address all the contract rumors. I will have an answer very soon!! As soon as I get clearance I will tell you first.” Although it’s not written in stone, typically when actors are put under some form of a gag order it coincides with an impending departure that the network doesn’t want revealed quite yet.

There’s no word out on whether or not the role of Amanda Dillon, a character who is currently in a hot romance with Dr. Jake Martin (Ricky Paull Goldin) and carrying Dr. David Hayward’s (Vincent Irizarry) child, will be left vacant or recast in the event of Stause’s departure. Soap Opera Network will keep you updated on the latest developments.

“All My Children” air Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Check local listings.
